Certainly the word “hippies” will spring to mind; the clothes and overall look seem to be the work of a time machine that transported the band from 1967. And “collective”: the band can number roughly a dozen players when they take the stage. But to fully describe a performance, you might have to include the idea that Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros aren't performing, not in the traditional sense of a group of musicians playing to an audience. The members seem to be more focused only on what is happening on the stage, dancing with and singing to and even at times kissing one another, so caught up in the music and the ecstasy of being together that they have nearly forgotten about the crowd. She is also able to use it as an under-the-bed container so she can store some infrequently-used items that would have overfilled her dresser drawers. She likes the fact that it collapses almost flat to store beneath her bed at school, since storage is at a premium in her dormitory. Bought this for my daughter to take to England for graduate school, and she found it very versatile. Each compartment has two zippers, so you can use qwik-ties to shut them securely. I did not use the backpack straps, but it was nice to know they were there. It holds a lot, and even though it doesn't stand up by itself, she didn't have a problem with it as she traveled. Items stay covered and clean, and she just rolls it out when she needs something. My only complaint, it will not stand upright....
